JP Talapian

JP Talapian is a portrait and fashion photographer born and raised in Boracay. This self-taught photographer spent his high school summer breaks shooting portraits of family and friends in his hometown. He then moved to Manila for college where he started producing fashion editorials as personal projects.

Inspired by cinematography of Sci-Fi films, and the works of Steven Meisel, and Daniel Sannwald, JP’s images are dynamic, eclectic and warm, speaking through the eyes of his subject. He also likes to experiment with different lighting techniques and play around with dominant colors, making JP's works artistic and creative in method yet captures the genuine. Ranging both editorial and commercial, his works appeared in Young Star, Scout Mag, L’ Officiel Manila, Rogue, Preen.ph, and major beauty and fashion brands in the Philippines.
