Faye Pamintuan is a visual artist currently based in Bulacan, Philippines. She balances her studio practice alongside teaching art classes to both children and adults. Pamintuan graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting.
She was born in the Philippines but spent her formidable years residing in Texas, USA. Constantly traveling between the two places influences her practice – interested in the fluidity of identity and the changing landscapes around her.Working with oil paint and watercolor, she is fascinated by color and the puzzle of balancing biomorphic shapes in a confined space. Through this practice, Pamintuan questions the idea of barriers and the energies surrounding everyday happenings.
Her works have been exhibited at 1335 Mabini, Mono8 Gallery, Vinyl on Vinyl, and Artery Art Space.
