Illustrator and Fashion Designer, Clarisse Provido creates resonating art — portraits and images that capture humanity while beautifying vulnerability and showing strength in adversity. Her work often displays the juxtaposition of elements from nature in unusual compositions while showing its intimate details. She uses watercolor, mixed media art, and natural textiles as her mediums for visual storytelling. Born in Manila, Philippines, she grew up with a penchant for drawing on pictures on the local newspaper, Ylaya St. fabric markets and meaningful conversations with other locals. She graduated with honors, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, major in Advertising Arts and is currently pursuing further education. She is currently based in New York City.
