Alexa is the founder of Court Street Journal, a Brooklyn blog sharing stories about the people, businesses and culture of Carroll Gardens and its surrounding neighborhoods. Telling local stories from a broad lens, CSJ publishes fashion, beauty and lifestyle news, features and cartoons.
Previously, Alexa was a reporter and editor at WWD, the fashion industry trade publication, where she covered the prestige beauty market and the creator economy. Her writing has also been published by W Magazine and VH1. She has appeared on Good Morning America and Cheddar TV for her work.
Alexa is writing her first novel, a coming-of-age story about a mixed-race, Filipina-American teen who struggles with feeling accepted by her culture. Inspired by her own experiences, the novel takes place in suburban Pennsylvania, where Alexa grew up.
